Degrading signal?

I think you may still have issues today. Just got back from Parktown where I had no issues for 6 hours and here within 10 min had to reconnect due to no throughput. Although after that the speeds look good:erm:

Download Speed: 1456 kbps (182 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 211 kbps (26.4 KB/sec transfer rate)

I can almost guarantee I will have issues ;)

Taken me about an hour to send this - no jokes. But you were right : issues again.

I have this Logitec Harmony remote and I've been trying to program for a few days. The programming and database are online. I haven't succeeded once to stay online for more than 15 minutes.

There's not even any stability on the network ; a steady GPRS signal may get me somewhere. But to have HSDPA (2.2Mbps) for 10 minutes - and then NOTHING for the next - before GPRS for 20 minutes is relly frustrating.

In all honesty - do Vodacom not have a network monitoring system that pops up and says 'issues in Randpark Ridge'? It's a multi-billion Rand company with almost 20% of the population using the network.

If they rely on the public, why can't they sort issues out within hours of hearing about it? This Randpark Ridge issue was brough up days ago.

I'm changing my ISDN to ADSL, and will only use the 3G whilst on the move.

I know this is really late, but after I escalated to VodacomData - he sent engineers out to my tower and the issue was sorted out Friday afternoon. I've had great 3G signal since ... and thought I'd say a 'thank you' :)
