Well to be honest, I have only noticed two outages - yesterday and today, both lasting only around 10-15 mins. Got through to No-Wire's helpdesk yesterday with the first try and without holding long, and was informed that the "server is being rebooted and everything will be up shortly". I was able to log on within 10 mins, so no complaints from my side.
Same as newb5000. Hardly the same things as 2004, when they claimed there wasn't a problem when there clearly was. Admiting there is a problem and saying you are working on fixing it really isn't unreasonable
I was the one told there wasn't a problem, then my husband called them after I managed to connect to a tower I'm not even supposed to see, with a much weaker signal, and was told we are connected so end of story. Nevermind the fact that tower 60 completely dissapeared.
Apart from the discussions on the forum which we used for this article I am also a paid Sentech subscriber. My connection was dead yesterday but Sentech’s helpdesk maintains that there are no problems. What is interesting is that their automated helpdesk system actually tells you that there is a problem, but somehow helpdesk does not want to say anything. Whether they are uninformed or have been instructed to not say anything is uncertain.
What is further of concern is that we contacted Sentech, specifically asking for details about the network problems and whether it has been resolved, but all we received from them is the email saying ‘go to the Sentech site’. Why not give us the details? Why hide what happened? I have no idea whether the problem has been resolved or not…I feel that this information is valuable to consumers and should be in the public domain.
We had 11 days of downtime due to our tower experiencing problems. After about 6 or 7 days Sentech told us that they attempted to fix the tower, but the weather wasn't suitable.
After 11 days our connectivity return but we cancelled our account shortly thereafter because of the ridiculous service and ordered adsl.
Guys, we've (the guys like TheRodent etc) have been through this. There's a reason why we gave up... they will never change. Casper is an idiot (he runs the call centre) and he will stay that way forever and ever and ever.
Most of the people running the wireless section at Sentech has their feet firmly planted within the company, does not understand technology, but want to get into this whole wireless buzzword thing.
There's a _reason_ why they're struggling to get customers going. And communication is one of them. Open your eyes.
