Delete app data on iOS?

Is it possible? Doesn't seem so from a bit of googling.

For example, how would you delete the whatsapp documents and data without deleting the app?

In something like news reader you can delete newspapers and mags from inside the app. Same for things like I books, etc. Shouldn't it be the same with other apps?
 
Whatsapp for example doesn't have one. Unless you have to delete all your chats?

This one is odd though, only had bbm for a day and it's already used 1/5 of whatsapp's usage in 3 years? Unless that was all data used in setup.

Is that data usage from BBM? Or the storage BBM consumes for being installed?

If its data usage, there's no way I'm installing BBM.

It's the data usage. I'm guessing a lot of it has to do with the initialization and set up. Will see how much it increases in the next few days.
 
My BBM is crashing when I select a chat.
Had to switch off chat history and manually delete everyone's updates then I was able to chat again.
If it's killing the battery I think it's using a lot of data.

They should have a way to switch off people's updates as they have on BB devices.

Or at least "delete all updates" instead of having to do it one by one.

Hopefully this will be addressed in the next version.
