Im on MTN Procall 120 and I was wondering if MTN charge for sms delivery reports.

I know they did charge @ one stage, do they still charge??

Interesting question, I doubt it though, neither CellC, Vodacom or Virgin charge for them.

Moenie te vinnig praat nie t3ra...

At the moment I'm not 100% sure - have this odd feeling that they still do... :(

edit:
Ok, confirmed. In March 2008 they still charged me for delivery reports!
I was on MTN Prepaid - I forgot to make that 1-call-in-90-days ... they kicked me off the network recently so I cannot determine what the current status is.

Wow, is it that bad? Do you have to make a call in 90 days? Seems I spoke to soon when I wanted to move to MTN, thanks for the heads up, I won't be forced to use anything.

Yes, its that bad.
Access4Life
Make at least one chargeable call every 90 days and never pay for access to our network for incoming calls.

The only reason(s) why I had a MTN sim in the first place was because I got one with my phone that I bought a few years ago. Was a nice backup back in my pre-adsl days when VC's GPRS died then and again. That was the one thing MTN is good for... Their GPRS/EDGE/whatnot is very stable compared to the other providers. :)

And that's the reason I wanted to switch to them, if I ever have line problems. Is the A4life mandatory on the Payback service as well?

LOL and we have hi-jackers????

Do MTN charge CONTRACT customers for delivery reports

Wifey is on MTN Prepaid and she tells me that she gets charged for Del Reports (so she never activates it).

I have been on MTN Contract for quite some time now (My Call/ Pro Call) and I dont get charged for Del Reports. I really cant imagine sending am sms then never get a Del Rprt.

Show us proof (get a print out) of MTN charging for it cause all my friends get del reports and they dont get charged.

Thats easy, as soon as I get back to wifey will check the bal/ send n sms/ re-check de bal and report back (to MTN).

I remember way back in 2003 she once had a heated argument with the MTN Cust Srvc, after that she disbaled the Del Rpts!
