Dell 3007 screen repair?

Hi guys,

One of our out-of-warranty Dell 30" LCD screen has popped. A burnt chip on one of the boards seems to be the only visible cause of failure. Can you recommend anyone that does repairs in the Somerset West area? It would be a bit sad to lose a nice screen like this...

Which board? Got a pic? Got the part number for the board?

You might be able to just buy the board and replace it yourself via a place like spl.co.za etc.

Such a pity...gave SPL a call and they don't supply parts for Dell screens....notebook screens yes but not stand-alone

My Dell XPS L502X screen cracked, it was an out of warranty repair, Dell charged me R2930, 94 for the repair.

Just be prepared to fork out a lot of money.

Your problem is you went to the wrong people and got fleeced.

The entire psu board can be purchased online from several overseas sources but let's see if we can't find any better local options first, preferably a repair job.

Hang on to the screen, don't flog it or anything. Hope you have something else to use in the mean time.

Another Dell 3007WFPT got PA-4151-1-LF popped

Where could I get a power supply for a Dell 3007WFPT, PA-4151-1-LF or 6723000002P00? The screen is 4 years old now and was pretty good until it popped! From reading this thread, I guess I have the same problem... Anyone?
