Dell 5505

DELL will be releasing the Dell Wireless 5505 Mobile Broadband 3G HSDPA (Vodafone UK, France, Germany) integrated adapter next month (in UK) for their new Latitude D620 & D820 laptops. Vodacom3g have you guys had any sight of this adapter?

Can see myself upgrading to a D620 in the near future, and it would be really great to have fully integrated HSDPA inside the laptop (large antenna integrated into screen lid for much better signal). This seems like a much better option than a seperate PC Card that can be lost or damaged due to it sticking out.

I've been playing with the Siemens Q series notebook with integrated HSDPA.

Nice, the Lifebooks are great laptops, but our co. has standardised on Dell. Anyway I need something more beefy than a ultralite ... e.g. dual core cpu.

The following WWAN cards will be offered with this system:

* Dell Wireless 5500 Mobile Broadband Mini Card (HSDPA)
* Dell Wireless 5700 Mobile Broadband Mini Card (CDMA)
* Dell Wireless 5505 Mobile Broadband Mini Card (HSDPA) - Europe Only

The wwan cards are removable. ( By a qualified technician )
