An official Dell warning:

It has been brought to our attention that an e-mail stating to be from “Dell Computers” is being sent to a number of individuals. The e-mail announces a launch by “Dell Computer Corporation” of a “new Pentium of Laptop” and as part of the launch announces that certain individuals have been selected as one of the “lucky 10 people” to have “won” such a laptop.

This e-mail has not be sent by Dell Computer (Pty) Limited (the South African subsidiary company of the US corporation - Dell Inc.). The e-mail is a hoax sent by an unknown source in an attempt to obtain personal information from the individuals to whom it is being sent. In the event that you have received such an e-mail, please do not respond to it, as you would be passing on your personal information to an unknown source.

By this time people should know that no-one gives away free goods. (ie laptops, ipods, girlfriends with big boobs and long legs.)
