Dell laptops emit cat urine odour

Heh. I was with VW when the Jetta 5 was launched. At that stage the Golf was assembled locally, but the Jetta was a full import. SA ended up with a few shipments' worth of Jettas which had the most nauseating smell imaginable emanating from the seats; was apparently down to some interaction between the foam in the seats and the bonding agent on the fabric. It was vile...

Always wondered whether Germany knew and figured '**** it, zend zem to Zouth Africa'.

Dell should learn rolling what you make on your thighs works only with Cuban cigars.

Dell is really pricey hardware, strange that they would have a problem like this. Not something I would suspect them to have, and if I paid top dollar for their product I certainly would not be happy with it.

We had one of those.
If I remember we traded it in for a Passat eventually.

Show me one company who can provide support on or above the Dell standard, especially within SA?

Dell says its investigation revealed strange scent is related to a manufacturing process, which the company has since fixed. But if your portable PC isn’t “purrfect,” Dell says you should contact the company to have your laptop’s palm rest assembly replaced.

Errors happen and they are tending to the problem.
