As Hetzner’s Managing Director, Deon de Villiers heads up the company together with Hans Wencke in his role as Executive Chairman.
Deon graduated from the Cape Technikon in 1992 with a diploma in Computer Data Processing. He went on to work with Pep Application Software and Consulting for three years before joining Metropolitan Life as an Oracle DBA / Unix Systems administrator. In 1998 Deon travelled to London where he worked for a period of three years before returning to South Africa and Metropolitan Life.
In 2001 Deon joined Hetzner as its Technical Manager, responsible for overseeing the stability and growth of Hetzner’s network infrastructure. He has played an instrumental role in overseeing the management of Hetzner’s network in order to provide customers with a trusted reliable and scalable infrastructure. His current role as Managing Director includes a particular focus on product development.
