Generally with acne the face wash is only the container if even that. That is why i hate dermatologists because they just want to sell you shyte to wash your face :D.

Yea i also thought i have dandruff but you speak as though dry scalp is not dandruff so now i am confused :D, let me know what they say please.

Dermatology... I don't know.

From my experience, they are a lot of scamming out there.

They cannot really do anything for you. They charge specialist rates, prescribe a cream.

If you go to your local pharmacy and ask for a cream that's for acne or psoriasis they pretty much give you the exact same thing. <only place where this differs if it's like heavy prescription creams. Then you need to see a Dermatologist>

But even so.. They sing you this story of the fight is won when you accept that this will never change. Say you must accept that psoriasis is never going to be gone, it will be better on some days and worse on others. Cream will help a bit to moisturize but never be gone.

I understand that to a point. But I didn't pay someone R800+ to just tell me things I already knew and they give me a cream. There are actual pills for things like psoriasis or acne and sometimes the dermatologists don't want to prescribe those at first. They want you to do the creams for like a year.. (see you 3-4 times that year). Then after 2years or so. they might go the pill route.

Money making... possible. A lot of money spending. Definitely.

The best one is Dr Whittaker in Newlands... shes head of pretty much every association to do with dermatology.
Also a couple months waiting list though.

+1 she ain't cheap but she's the best

On the topic of psoriasis, this is a cheap and easy to find cream that helps to alleviate it a little.

Dischem stocks it.

UVB light therapy is fantastic, but not cheap and requires a time commitment(three times a week for 5-10 minutes without travel). It does work spectacularly though, for Psoriasis treatment.
