Desktop or laptop for R6000

Hi all

I am considering buying a computer for my son. He's really into Minecraft and wants to start writing his own mods etc. I'm thinking to spend around R6000 but I'm not sure what the best way is to go - a desktop or a laptop. Does anyone out there have any suggestions??

A desktop is a good start considering you can upgrade it to play more graphics intense games later on.

I can help out with desktop at a decent price you don't mind it being 2nd hand

You will be able to assemble a great desktop for R6000.

If it never has to move, go for desktop. Desktop is cheaper for better performance, laptops are a trade-off for mobility.

The only reason for the laptop is portability.
Desktop = much more value for money.
