You will be part of our Information Technology team with the design, growth and maintenance of the Company’s infrastructure, including desktop, storage, peripheral and associated support equipment. In addition, you will be tasked to work with your peers for ensuring stability, integrity and efficient operation of all in house infrastructure. This is a hands on technical role, working with other senior members of the Enterprise and Infrastructure teams.
We are based in Dunkeld West.
Duties:
• Configure, install, and support desktop computers, laptop computers, handheld devices, printers, monitors, portable data storage devices, and other general peripherals.
• Relocate IT equipment including desktop computers, printers, monitors, portable data storage devices, and other general peripherals.
• Configure IT devices for secure operation, including installation of security software, software updates, and other configurations as required.
• Connect and configure IT devices to use computer networks.
• Diagnose hardware and software failures, communicate the remediation plans to users, and provide status updates.
• Support desktop maintenance, including inventory and software distribution, and security maintenance, including virus updates and patch management.
• Provide virtual assistance sessions such as Windows Remote Assistance and Remote Desktop.
• Update service request system on updated issues
• Draft reports when needed
• Work in team to deliver a superior service
• Communicate escalated user problems to relevant manager

Requirements:
The successful applicant will have the following traits:
• Has a National Higher Education - Matric (Grade 12)
• College Diploma in IT Certification
• Microsoft A+ and N+ Certification (advantage)
• Knowledge in MS Products including MS Windows and Office
• Experience in Desktop and Laptop Administration
• Experience in Desktop and Laptop Support
• Experience in User services support (Phone and Printer)
• Experience in Wireless networks
• Experience in Google Apps
