Read that with a Borat accent...
Not so fast
so UK produced Dettol is inferior to SA produced Dettol?
Maybe not far from the truth, a lot of questions need to be answered coherently forst though.
1. Who imported this consignment
2. What technical data sheets were supplied against the purchase
3. Does the material comply to those specs
4. Are those specs any different to what is sold in Europe to those in SA, which would be odd as EU regs are generally more stringent than our own
5. Was the company that sold this consignment dumping sub standard material on what they perceive is a 3rd world market to save the costs of having to dump it themselves, legally that is?
6. If the material complies with specs as stipulated by the supplier, and falls foul of our own, then the problem lies with the importer.
or
7. Dettol SA is making this out to be a huge thing for no other reason than to protect their own local interests in an attempt to prevent 'grey imports' from affecting their sales.
I can go on, but these are fundamental questions that need clarity to formulate a response.
