So the game is expected to drop on Friday 26 Aug for me. I placed a BT Games preorder for the Xbox copy.

I'm getting pretty excited about it now.
Who else is getting a copy?

Pre-ordered on Steam, pre-loaded on PC, waiting for some weekend fun :D

Dunno about the xbox though.
 
I preordered the PC Augmented Edition from Kalahari back in early March. Cant wait for this.

*drools while waiting impatiently*

Hmm, it seems you peeps are quite excited about it. I've been keeping my expectations as low as possible to avoid disappointment!

Lonewolf: did you read the review? I've banned myself from Gamespot reviews specificallyu because they put so many spoilers in!
 
Been playing it a bit. On a DX11 PC it looks pretty damn good.

Been sneaking around and using the tranquilliser gun, dragging bodies into hiding spots. Love it :)

Playing it on the hardest difficulty level, death comes very quickly! Great incentive to use the stealthy approach.
 
I played about 2 hours of it last night. Quite happy with the way it runs and looks on my PC, when I saw the screenshots I was a bit worried how it would perform.

They definitely managed to retain the spirit of the original Deus Ex game. I can't wait to spend more time with this!
 
Well, it sounds promising! I'm a bit worried though, I've received no reminders or update from BT...if they've lost my order, or it's released and I haven't been called...well...rampaging llamas are a sight to behold.

do you need to play the others in order to know whats happening

Got PC CE from Kalahari. Told it will be shipping tomorrow for arrival on Friday :love:

Can't wait :D

Well obviously they used a US Proxy to login to Steam to unlock their Steam version's ahead of the normal release date, which will be this Friday of course. But I'd rather prefer a hard copy of the game than digital, but I suppose, different strokes for different folks, :)
 
Only 10% more to go for me. I hear there was already a 50mb patch.

Have you tried the all in one steam fix? .Blob renaming/deletion also check that steam is still allowed in your firewall.

As stated, you don't need to have any experience with the other games. This is essentially a prequel. The original Deus Ex to this day still remains an amazing game, and you can't go wrong playing that. I imagine it might be a bit hard going to the original after you've played Human Revolution though, so if you can swing it, play the original one first.
