I have a requirement for someone to develop a portion of a project. The development can be done after hours / part time if required.

The short of it is. Pastel Evolution database experience needed, especially inventory and the PostGL. This is the biggest problem as one needs to know the Pastel Evolution database fairly well. The solution involves updating the PostST table for inventory items. The amounts need to be converted to USD currency based on a stock average price that also needs to be calculated. This all happens on a replicated database and not the live database.

Once the PostST table is updated with the new currency, the PostGL has to be updated accordingly. I think this is actually the most troublesome part in my opinion as the difficulty is linking the PostSL records to the PostGL records.

All the updates have to be done in T-SQL. Now there are two options. One is to only develop the business rules and not the technical implementation and the other is to develop the business rules and the implementation. If need be, I will do the T-SQL if that is a problem, but the biggest thing really is how to perform the update.

PM me if you are interested in the job.

You might want to add what you are willing to pay if you are looking for responses. I know I will not work after hours unless I get at least my normal hourly rate.

I think it's the Pastel requirement. Developers need to pay to start playing with the API, so there needs to be a motivation to do so. I've considered buying it, but it's not on my shortlist.

Who says you won't get your hourly rate?
