Dexter 8 season final

Very disappointing finale :( It was very rushed. I wish they rather just left it without a real conclusion. They really made a mess of it - even the lame effects during the storm were cheap.

The whole season was pretty average...
 
I didn't have a problem with it. Could have been worse....they could have ended it where he realised everything was just a dream...
 
I was disappointed in the finale, they shouldn't of killed Deb, they should of just let them sail off into the sunset.

I only just watched the last 2 seasons this weekend...

I can only assume that the writers disappointed us with the final episode on purpose, that's the only thing that would explain it. Was there a dispute about writers wages at the time or something? The episode was bad, the last 15 minutes were atrocious.

How they managed to choose that Dexter fakes his own death and becomes a lumberjack over a "happily ever after" with Hannah, or diving into the ocean and accepting death with Deb is the most criminal thing that I have seen in this show.
