Dexter 8 season final

Why no spoilers? Don't read the thread until you've watched the episode. Simple. No need for us to babysit you.

Spoiler's ahead! (Although if you clicked this thread and don't want spoilers then you're an idiot :) )

Dexter had to either die or reinvent an identity I think. He probably feels that Hannah is a much better guardian then he can ever be. Losing Debra made him realize that everyone he loves gets hurt in some way and he needs to protect them from himself.

I'm happy they ended Dexter. I feel like it could only get worse from here.

I'm not so sure:

Dexter turns into lamer and goes into hiding to protect his son?
What about 'poison ivy' she's a monster too, but good enough for his son?
Patista and that other **** just buys the whole setup in the end, how dex killed his opposition?
The cop trying to get dexter is all of a sudden an idiot?
The whole series dexter are unable to realize he is ****ed up, but only now in a single episode where his sister dies?
All of a sudden every one is plank stupid compared to the other seasons?
No one realized or sees dexter carrying out his sister?
Magically dexter can kill his sister after he specifically couldn't?
This whole season has been remarkably lame compared to the previous ones, very dumbed down.

Was really enjoying the series, pity it had to end :(
Also a sad last episode :(
 
Agreed ph4t3 , the show would've only got worse if they continued it.

Happy and sad its over, was a bit disappointed with him just being a girl and running away. Something else should of happened Prison/Death/Happy ever after, just something that wasn't so predictable.
 
What a perfectly apt ending for the massive, steaming pile of **** this show became after Season 4.
 
I dunno, Season 8 sucked. I think it was a season too long. I suppose the ending is probably as good as it can get under the circumstances, however the actual season 8 was very boring imho. That Vogel woman gave me the creeps the entire season and it was like there wasn't really a coherent interesting story (like the previous 7 seasons). I swear they were making things up as they went along, even Hannah conveniently returning, that rich kid "serial killer in training" and then Vogel and her long lost serial killer son, ugh, seriously?
 
agreed... the entire last season felt a bit rushed, and along the lines of "lets chuck some plot elements in, so that we can fill the season up with material" ;)

also not a fan of the way it ended... I agree with Poffle that Prison/Death/Happy ever after would have all been more appropriate than the way they ended things off...

Yup as a an ex serial killer who found emotion and lost blades, I wanna see Wolverine pulverize him
