There's no thread for it and this was one of the better shows there was. I'm glad they rebooted it because the latter seasons post-Trinity needed fixing. Just hoping they don't mess it up further...

I've been watching and enjoying it. Really glad they revived it and they've done a solid job with the first few episodes. Sucks that episodes are released weekly but what can you do.

I enjoyed all the other seasons. Episode 1 was good, but can't say for the rest.
Actually starting to hate it when the whole story is being told by someone's thoughts. Little acting.

I suspected that they kept the two Dexter series apart just in case New Blood brought down the original series rating.

However so far New Blood has a higher rating

If you go by the IMDB.

I'm not liking New Blood that much. I honestly had higher hopes. I think we all want to like it badly, but it does not hold a candle to the original first 4 seasons. Also every now and then the "white man bad" jabs get on my nerves, especially when that one woman wanted to downplay a murder because the victim was a "cis-gendered white male". Woke themes are unbecoming of this series and does soil the story. Regarding the story, I did wish for more killing by Dexter than what we are getting. The story is kinda boring and I'm not on the edge of my seat like I used to be. I don't think we can expect reconciliation for the f-up that season 8 was.
