Tried that a while back, some bugs, but it did work defnitely gives the sorceres and edge. This may be new and improved.

Yeah, the mods are out there. I've played it in 1920x1080 full screen not windowed and it's very...odd...to see it like that. In that resolution the map is TINY! Also you get to see the enemies before they can react to you, so it gives you a chance to weigh up your options -not that, that's really necessary with D2, but ja. Can't for the life of me remember where I downloaded it though. Also there are certain "conditions" with the mod I was using. (Things like it could only be D2 ie. No LOD installed or anything like that.)

You're bound to find something that works...just google the sh|t out of it...that's what I did.

It's not compatible with 1.13c, have to downgrade to 1.12, unless there's a new version out..

I think the latest patch adds support for more resolutions, not sure.

I dont think so mate. Its got some kinda widescreen support, but I went through the patch notes and I didnt see anything about more res options in there

if it was, Im sure I would have seen it on the net during all my research! :D

if it should be anywhere, it will be on widescreengamingforum.com

they even show you how to play some games with 3 monitors, like eyefinity - but these oaks did it before eyefinity was even invented.

The problem with Diablo2 is that the game wasn't designed for it. Can remember trying it out a while ago with a bigger resolution, you can actually see the enemies far in advance just standing there. This kinda spoils certain aspects of the game.

Off topic, but with that link above:

At QuakeCom 2010, id Software released the source code for Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Quake III. The_cranky_hermit has responded by beginning work on WSGF Optimized versions of both Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Quake III. Both projects feature Native Hor+ gameplay support, as well as properly scaled menus, HUD and centered 2D graphics (for multi-monitor users). Please hit the links so that you can download the versions to help test.
