Diablo 3 might suck?

i can't quite see the WoW/diablo 3 thing. how does diablo3 look like wow? the colours? yeah, i'm glad they made it more colourful, now you might be able to SEE stuff, like the colour-coded enemies. theres blood at least, right? :P proper BLOOOOOD.

theres greater chance for me to win the lotto four times, in a row, without buying a ticket, than there is of diablo 3 sucking. blizzard just don't work that way.

I have made a concious decision not to become part of the hype regarding Diablo 3, or Starcraft 2 for that matter. I will definately buy it when it comes out because their predecessors were the best i`ve played in their respective genres. Here are my 2 reasons

Fable: Don't know if I have been living in a closet, but the first time i heard of it was when i got it. Played it and... thought it was an awesome game.

Prince of persia Warrior within: Really enjoyable action game if you are into that sort of thing, didn't see anything wrong with it until i played the previous versions. but it was still better than most other action titles.

Also... have some faith! have blizzard ever let us down?, but don't expect something that will change the history of gaming. If it does it will be awesome, if it doesn't i bet it will still be a pretty cool game

It was a great game! :D

Did not have the replay-abillity of D2 or some other games but was great for a month or 2 :)

Also there will never be a game that pleases everyone.....
 
First time i played diablo...
First impression: Kick-ass opening scene of a daemon chasing you.
Gameplay: you go into a dungeon and click on skeletons... wtf?
Conclusion: It grows on you
 
I'm also not yet convinced that D3 will be the greatest thing since sliced bread. Will definitely buy the game, but I'm reserving judgement until I've spent a good few hours actually playing it.

Blizzard has a great record in terms of released games, but that doesn't mean that EVERY game they release will definitely be awesome.
 
I'm not certain its going to be insane, but I have yet to not enjoy a game blizzard has made. Its also not going to be rushed like many other developers do when they annouce and there is lots of buzz so you know its going to be quality
 
I guess if you want DiabloII with better graphics.. (ok not really, but we can all see where they got their inspiration) get Titan Quest, otherwise i think we shouldn't complain that D3 is not enough like D2.

(My last post in this thread :) promised myself not to become part of the hype hehe)

Yes, there is. Remember the horror that is WC3? :sick:

After the joys of WC2 and then SC/BW, WC3 felt like being chased through a forest of camelthorn trees, blindfolded. I'm just glad it did, thankfully saving me from even bothering to try WoW.

Then, having seen what the ex-Diablo2 developers went and did with HGL, I'm going to hold thumbs that Diablo3 has enough fresh new ideas to grab our attention, whilst retaining the ease of play that Diablo2 had.

For me myself personally, that would mean being a little scarier (through some more graphic action, more vivid looking monsters and gut-rumbling sound effects), with new races (so I like the new classes and having both genders) and new skills (picture a paladin whose skin turns to steel for 10seconds, or an assassin who turns invisible), whilst still keeping the excellent item-chasing side. The one thing that I really enjoyed about HGL, was being able to constantly improve one's items.

The wait is going to be way too long, I'm sure.

I am watching the gameplay footage again and again there is no way it will suck. O and the sweet skills and the multiplayer is going to be sweet bashing in the monsters of hell with your friend nothing sweeter than that.

I wee'ed my pants when i saw the D3 video... can you imagine what I am going to do when they give a final release date... :)

which by every screenshot I've seen .... IS going to suck .... :sick: talk about way too many bright colours and cartoony type stuff ... ugh, skip for me.

I would imagine it's like Titan Quest, only about twenty times better with more effort put into it?

How can you possibly go wrong
