The remaster looks good. Should get a good few hours out of it again. Though when it comes to endgame and sheer amount of things to do, POE has it and any Diablo game beat by a mile. The most hectic that things ever get in D2 is Baal runs and Uber trio.

For just a romp to the end with a few builds though, D2 will be good fun again. Played a lot of Hammerdin, Whirlwind Barb, Meteorb Sorceress back in the day. Those always made it to the end in Hell. Toyed with lots of other builds though which were decent in Normal mode too. If you just want to beat normal mode, a Druid with wolves is easy mode. No gear required.

Don't have performance issues on the scale you are mentioning? Maybe try playing on something other than a Nokia 3310?
Trade needs work for sure.

Let's put it another way, for reliable play at the top end players set graphics to low, unbind alt, run custom loot filters, deliberately avoid content and restart the client every map.
Yip, performance is just fine, it's actually my hardware that's the issue /s

I won't even get into how skills get bugged every league, boss fights get bugged every league, crashes to desktop are essentially normal and the game looks like utter dog poop when first loaded (praise Cthulhu they changed how this system works)

PoE is a great game but gosh take off those rose tinted glasses for a second.

That said, it looks pretty good; I hope the mod support is sufficient to the existing modders, as this will have, I suspect, a huge impact on the game's success.

I stopped playing PoE briefly as well and went back to classic D2 (Bone Necro) until D2R is released.

I can confidently state that D2 was one of the best games ever released.

I'd rather put that 40 euros some place and when it release and is actually good vs promised made, I'd just use the available funds I've set aside. magic.

Besides... it might grow a little if you have it in a ccm. Better than nothing, better than just pre-ordering.

After about 1k hours in PoE its been on rest for long time now. I'll pick it up again when PoE2 release and it is any better except for eye candy.

This, went against my own policy and pre-ordered Warcraft 3 reforged, thought that Blizzard were too good to screw that up, lesson learned. This looks very promising but no more pre-orders from me.

I'll buy this is if it is good, but I'll wait for release. Blizzard has burned all of their goodwill with their recent projects.

Also, how sad that the thing that makes people so excited is a remaster of a 20 year old game. Blizzard has had no new creative ideas in a long time.

It used to be that everything Blizzard made was a hit. Diablo, WarCraft II, StarCraft, Diablo II, WarCraft 3, Wow - a number of hits in a row. Every game was an instant hit.

What have they done since then that is new? I can think of only one game - Overwatch.
