Diablo II: Resurrected

Ok This sucks.

If you install Original Diablo 2 via Blizz it now installs 1.14b and it breaks the 1920x1080 Widescreen Mod's. <-- color me surprised!

Guess its get use to 800x600 or fork out $$ for new one. (Was planning on buying the Xbox version anyway.) but it would have been nice to compare on PC.
The same running bs as you install warcraftIII and being forced down the reforged drain.

Diablo3 plays just fine on eu servers

D2 is also 12 years older than D3, and this is my biggest concern; that they still use a 21 year old net code for D2R.

I barely notice any latency issues with D3 or PoE because the netcode is up to date, but 180ms is going to suck without any predictive netcode.

Well that might be because they already run a wrapper api between the old and wysiwyg (graphics, sound, interpolation etc)

Seems like good news

(imho) the recommended d2 planner for d2r

I see it even has simulation outcomes, that is where you can activate a skill or choose a target to calc results.

Any downside to buying the game from the us store instead of the Europe one which the client defaults to.

Seems weird to have the choice between 40 dollars or euros and would rather choose the cheaper one if the same.

Like wow only us bnet/servers ?

Just pay for the one that makes the experience better. For the price and the number of hours you are going to play with it, you are literally fighting for cents per hour. It's not worth trying to save.

Sure I fully agree will purchase the one which is better, I am just trying to understand what the difference is.

I have never played WOW so don't know what their restrictions were but D3 always allowed me to select a region.

Also the 4th bullet says on this page (https://us.shop.battle.net/en-us/product/diablo_ii_resurrected?p=168304) says "Play in any region". I am clearly missing something as no company would give you multiple pricing options for the same thing with no downsides.

So, everyone decided on what they are starting off with?

Chances are I'm going to be doing this in SP. So far there is no word on being able to /playersX on BNet which is a huge issue as I tend to play solo most of the time.

As a result I'll be starting a Sorc, for the inherent teleport.

Gonna rush to Act 3 Hell and do LK runs until I farm an enigma. From thereon in it's going to be SSF with every char, but chances are I'll start with a skelemancer / CE necro.
