dial directly to voicemail

is there a way to dial directly to voicemail, i am lending my pda to my dad and i don't want to disturb his meeting as I'm certain he doesn't know how to turn the phone on silent.

IIRC, for MTN it used to be 083* 171, but I haven't tried it in a while

hmmm... tried with an 072 number and all I get is a number error message.

Btw: the MTN prefix is 083 118
