Diamond from Hi-Fi Corp

Hey guys and gals... Anyone have more info on this brand?

I see on the box that the HiFi Corp warranty label is actually on the box and not a sticker, is this a HiFi Corp brand or something? They dont have a website with any info on this Mp3/Multimedia player I have on my desk, the thing feels flimsy and the software is confusing and laggy...

Anyone care to shine some light on this brand for me? Im thinking its like Sansui re-brand type, generic China make... Where they rub the products of on people because they get higher commision?
 
Diamond is Hi-Fi Corp's own brand. They import low cost products (which have low cheap grade components) and brand it with their own Diamond brand.

I would stay away from Diamond. None of their products last.
 
The quality is extremely low. Would not recomend any of their products
 
the only diamond product you can buy knowing it's good quality is a Diamond 3D card - don't touch the Diamond DVD players/etc they are absolute rubbish.
 
i got a diamond fan...that's as far as i would trust that brand ;-)
 
I wouldn't buy a Diamond if you paid me. There is a reason that brands are recognisable and others aren't. Consistency and quality is key and you can only be assured of that with a brand that is big and well established and has a decent warranty.
 
A friend of mine used to repair hifi corp products on contract. Hifi would routinely send him palette loads of brand new diamond products, still unopened in the box, to fix them before they could be sold. That should tell you something about the quality.
 
Wow, this is by far the biggest crap you can throw your money at.
 
What's with the cheap Wharfedale products Hi-Fi Corp sell? Somehow I don't think they're on par with the high quality Wharfdale products in Europe.
 
Its their own brand so the GP they make on it is high,thats why they tout it so much
 
My two Diamond TV's have been going for 11 and 9 years each without any problems.....

I doubt it. In Europe, Wharferdale is a top of the range company, they most certainly do not sell cheap crap.
