Diamond vs. N82

I wouldn’t do that. Diamond much nicer IMO.

Nokia lost me when they failed to change their phones, other than the cover. I mean all nokias are the same minus a feature here and a feature there. I guess they just boring after you have had a few.

Unless the Diamond is not your bag (ie touch screen phone) stick with it, symbian is old and slow.
 
It's just i'm finding Windows Mobile rather old and slow at the moment....

Yeah fair enough, I guess I havent used other brands long enough to get bored of them. Don't get me wrong, Nokia still one of the best phones out there.
 
My work phone is up for an upgrade. I already have the E71, so I want a multimedia phone instead. Im currently deciding between the 5800 Xpress and N79... Dont really like the N82

Depends what you mean by multimedia. Most modern Sybian S60 phones will handle music. There are variations in sound quality (check the reviews) using the software and in hardware (speakers) - often it's what is provided with the phone to improve user experience. For example bundling an 8gig memory card or free music (not yet in SA). A decent on-device player would also not go amiss.
