Did flying economy class adversely affect Boks?

Unbelievable the s**t we South Africans can come up with.... in any event, I did not want to laugh alone....

Hilarious but an excellent excuse all the same.
Time for the Springboks to negotiate sponsorship from firms like Tampax who can support the team through all the bad periods.

Lol. Absolute rubbish. Pathetic excuse.

So what happened last year, when they lost every Inernational - England, Wales and Italy? The flight from Eng to Wales wouldn't have done screw all.

No other team in the world has sleeping on plane issues, so what makes SA so special? Gone soft?

WTF, how does an international union rugby player fit in economy class??? I'm 6'3" and hardly fit, and I'm a lot lighter than a 110kg bulky bok.
It's a damn 11 hours seated like a sardine.

Hell I'd understand if they threw the game just because of this. WTF.

I'm going to guess it's Premium Economy anyway.

And not only that - they're likely sitting together so not one big guy but 4 big guys in a row.

Doesn't sound like it. Do SAA even offer Premium economy? Or is the national team not flying with national carrier?

Economy seats are pretty small for massive rugby players tbh.

Agreed.

Not that I'm a rugby player, but similar height, so I won't fly unless:
There's absolutely no other choice, it's domestic or it's business class.

The last economy flight I took was more than 10 years ago and that night I vowed never to do it again.

And now show us the bok record flying better than economy..

BA was the Boks flying sponsor last I checked.

EDIT: Oh wait, its now Flysafair. Not sure how that works for international.

Better argument:

Remove business and first class entirely out of airliners and keep the passenger count the same. Even if it's just a few cm it'll give everyone more leg room.

Except the people willing to shell out for biz & 1st.

There is a reason why airlines segment it - profit maximisation.

No no no.

Remove economy class and first class and give everyone business class.

First airline to do that will take the market and everyone else will comply shortly after.
