Did you JailBreak?

Ok, may have been asked a good couple of times so apologies, I did look.

Has anyone here JB'd ios4.1 with modem firmware (or BB) 02.10.04? From all the sites I have browsed on the subject it seems it's only important if your iPhone is networked locked? Is this right or is there something more important I should be aware of?

So ya, have you and if yes is everything still fine? Did you use Greenpoison or Limerain?

I have but I haven't really found anything useful that made it worth it. There are a few interesting apps: turn your phone into a wifi hotspot, a tracking app and changing the SMS tones. The big problem is apparently all the cool lockscreens don't yet work on OS4.x I used greenpoison and it was easy and theses been no issues.

I have as well and the main thing I use it for is something called Installous. This is basically an underground appstore that features apps from the orignal appstore but are all cracked. Not having to pay for apps are quite nice, especially the big games like Fifa 11 and the like. Although it's always nice to purchase the orignal once you're done testing the cracked version

Ok so maybe I am missing the obvious but how do you use Installous? If I open it there is nothing, settings has a section for an address but not sure what to put there. Do you maybe have a walkthrough or just some pointers?

Mine was Jailbreaked for a few days untill i got the "no service" problem, so i reloaded my iOS back and not gonne JB it again, there's not much for me with a JB phone.

SBSettings - that is the main reason i will continue JBing unless if Apple adds that same functionality.

This is a common problem if you install a app from Cydia that does not support the iOS you are on(in this case iOS 4.1)

Jailbreaking your iphone is worth it and not very dangerous,the first time I did it I bricked my devise and was so worried but with DFU mode you can restore the devise! In other words it is practicly impossible to Brick a iphone.
