Didata invests R250m in Internet Solutions' infrastructure

Good news for IS clients!
Internet Solutions supports over 46% of the entire South African leased line market and supports 75% of Corporate hosted applications, 80% of the Dial Up Market and provides services to over 80% of the top 250 listed companies in South Africa.
... but this is a thumb-suck. According to IS telkom doesn't exist? How can they have 80% of the dial-up market? ... and the rest? this a bit like vodacom and 21 million subscribers - where do they get these figures from?

How can they have 80% of the dial-up market?

Quite easily with the massive consolidation of dial-up ISPs. I think M-Web by itself probably constitutes 75% of the dial up market.

Mweb is part of IS?
me believes telkom has 75% of dialup market... would love to know the true figures...

ROFLOL! Teklom has 100% of the dial-up market... since they are the only fixed line operator! ;)

MWEB moved their backbone & subscriber over too I.S .

If it's true then Telkom is loosing some major business. Find it difficult to believe though.

I find this hard to believe. 75% of corporate I can go with. But end-users. Nah.
If this was the case, why do we have so many SAIX-IS peering issues?
