If I reach my cap on 3G and I am on contract, the service provider will just bill be OOB rates. What happens when I reach my cap on an ADSL contract? Do I get billed OOB or is my service disconnected?

ADSL is "hardcapped" if you reach the cap you don't have access anymore until you buy more data. With uncapped products these days, you have a fixed expense each month and can download as much data as your hard drive can store. With 3G, you're still plagued by OOB rates able to cripple even the most wealthy among us

It depends on your ISP, some ADSL ISPs hardcap, others don't. Some give you a choice.
