Difference between Olarm and IDS HYYP

We almost exclusively install Dahua DVR , Hyyp and ids. It works and we have no complaints.

Another system that will meet your needs is Ajax.

Olarm works very well for me - very stable BUT changing zone configurations etc seems to be a major issue. Haven't been too involved directly with the setup, but I'm told that for some reason the whole thing apparently needs to be re-setup and re-linked to the panel if we add a zone or change one of the arming modes. Not sure why, or if it's just that we have an older panel.

Hyyp i guess does all that, like you say app is rubbish but functional. Bypass is simple as toggling the PIR off to bypass. Violations also come up when activated so you can see the area and you can name the areas in the app. overall its fundtional just rubbish ui.

I do however have it intergrated into Home assisant so UI is better.

Hi, pls can you share how you integrated with HA?

Looks like hawky took over the hyyp integration : https://github.com/hawky358/hass_ids_hyyp
Am I right in saying that olarm has a subscription cost but IDS hyyp doesn't ?

EDIT: Looks like the GSM one has a subscription and the IP one doesn't

Are you using the integration? The above refers to the state in the event of the alarm being triggered, ie front door PIR etc, You cant use the state to see if the door is open or as an occupancy sensor like motion sensor.
No I'm not. And I disagree based on there being 2 separate attributes.. 1 being "violated" (alarm not on and zone is broken) and the other being triggered (when alarm is on and the zone is broken)

This discussion point also seems to prove it:
