Different gmail accounts on one iPhone?

Bit of a noob at this ifruit stuff so bear with me.

Can I use different gmail accounts for various Google apps?

i.e. the Gmail app is connected to one gmail account while say Google Play Music is connected to another.

One of my older accounts has a sweet 50 ZAR google play legacy subscription attached to it...but I don't want the noise from that old account in mails etc.

Googling this just shows guides on how to add multiple mail accounts which is exactly what I don't want.

Can be done, disable syncing of the older account

Certainly on the Android and WinMobile versions of Microsoft Office/Outlook you can. Not sure about the iOS version but worth a try.

Yeah you just log in with a specific account on a specific app?

As far as I know you don't have to add the account to mail in order to use it in a specific app, in that app you simply sign in using that specific account. If you have to add the account to mail but you don't want to receive the emails, then simply switch off email syncing for it.

The first took the label "GMail". The second one has the email address as the label.

Apps can then be linked using the label.

Yup...just reluctant to try without being sure because removing accounts after stuff syncs to god knows what is generally a pain.
