My 24-month contract is up for renewal and a day after an iBurst retentions consultant called me to discuss my options, I received an e-mail from RSAWEB, the SP I got my iBurst contract from.
There are a few things that I still don't have answers to, or which I can't understand, or which I received different advice about:
1. iBurst will renew my 24-months contract (Wireless2) and allow me to keep my current modem @ R198 p/m. RSAWEB said if I want to renew my contract, I have
to take the new modem @ R 297 p/m. I can't opt for keeping my old modem and just renew my contract. The only option for me would then be the month-to-month in order to keep my modem and pay the lower monthly subs.
2. iBurst says there is no penalty fee involved when I downgrade when I renew. RSAWEB says there will be a penalty fee payable.
3. RSAWEB wants me to give them one calendar month's notice if I do changes to my account, e.g. switching between contract and month-to-month, or upgrading or downgrading. What is iBurst's policy in terms of this?
4. iBurst told me I will remain on my current contract without any notification on my side, while RSAWEB told me I will automatically move to month-to-month.
Ronald, could you please clarify this for me. I don't want to rely solely on the help of my fellow myBB users, because they can sometimes "help my van die wal af in die sloot" (something in Afrikaans which you just can't translate).
