Which would you have:
1) 07' RS4
2) 08' 335 coupe
3) 08' Audi A5 (Although I am looking for something sporty - cant afford S5)

The 335 "feels" faster but is common, the RS4 looks cool but is is outdated. Not too sure which is best value for money?

I would say the 335/135.
But value for money, the RS4 is the best in that its a limited edition car, you cant get them new anymore and it developed an iconic status... RS4 will be best value for money imo...

PS how can you afford the RS4 and not the S5?

RS4: no longer available new, second hand low mileage: ~R490k
Audi S5: (no optional extras): ~R595k

Maybe his limit is R500k.

Audi A5 dude. Looks better than the BMW and you will find there is not that many out there as you said.

The A5 is a strange car... It looks pig ugly on photos but when you see them on the road, it's beautiful. For comfort/interior quality, I'd go with the A5. For performance, I'd take the 335 and for a well-rounded package, the RS4. But then, with petrol prices continually on the increase and the extra power of the RS4 practically wasted on normal roads, I'd say the A5 is a better value proposition.

Get it now?

Wish i could afford R500k cars. I wouldnt buy them though i'd pay my bond :(

335i. That engine is incredible. Check out YouTube for comparative videos - the BMW comes out on top every time.

Thought about this a bit. Personally, I wouldn't spend R500 000 on a car. I'd get a low-mileage 350Z as a coupe and a low-mileage Chev Lumina as a sedan. Both can be had for ~R250 000 each. That means you get 2 nice cars for the price. Chip and exhaust and the Lumina should kick out close to the RS4 power figures.

If you really want to spend that much on one car, why not consider a Z4M Coupe? Nice little car with a lovely engine plus you get some exclusivity.

I'm a big RS4 fan but I'd take a 2008 335i Coupe over it. The A5's interior is light years ahead of the BMW.

Thanks gents,

Can get a 2nd hand RS4 (07' model) for R470k (low mileage). An S5 cost R570K standard and Audi is crazy expensive with the option extras.

Drove the 335i (coupe) and as you guys say - goes like a beast, but just soooo many out there. The RS4 is faster but didnt give the same trill as the 335 (straight line). A5 beautiful (and exclusive), but drives like an old mans car.

Leaning towards the RS4........damn wish I could afford C63 :)
