Digging through rubbish bins?

This happens every Wednesday in front of my complex when the bins are put out. But I have to admit they are not a nuisance, they don't make a noise, and they don't mess. This is my experience. If they want to eat something poisonous or off, that's their own problem.

Personally I dont care if they go through the rubbish once I've put it out on the street just as long as they dont make a mess.

So how do you stop them making a mess? other than locking the bins in someway, or having to get your garden service to do it for you?

They rummage and then reseal without any form of encouragement from ourselves.

Want to swop houses :D

I must say though, that its pretty sad that the only real outcome we can all come up with.. is live with it. Not only for our own parts, but also for those going through the rubbish.

Littering in public is against the law right, which is pretty much what is happening, but I dont see the police doing anything about it at all

Well two things. Firstly the Rubbish crew never arrived today to collect as they should of. And secondly, My garden service showed up so they ended up cutting the grass and cleaning everything up.. So now chance of photo's. I'll have to try next week if the same thing happens again.

Maybe you could try packing anything that might be considered worthwhile separately?

Pity you dont have kids - a few unwrapped nappies make one heck of a deterrent. ;)

man, I had a smoke break now now, and I saw 2 doing it, 1 on my right, and one on my left.

the guy on the right did do it all neatly and took what he wanted and put the rest back, and closed it up again...

the lady on the left was a cleaning lady, and took 1 piece of perspex for herself ?

all that, in one 7-minute smoke break.

I never thought it possible, But I think you should be feeling the hate right now all the way through the net :D

I have :( But it shouldn't be my responsibilty to and its just ignored anyway. Forget the kids. Wait until I clean out my Tarantula enclosures and carefull wrap up all the molts. If they get those hairs on them they are going to itch for ages. But am trying for kids, so maybe that will solve it soon
