Now it's completely dead including local =/

I did notice it's been up and down the past hour or so. I'm guessing Seacom and maybe a little Neotel :confused:

Hi guys, I need a bit of help please. When I download from news servers I get very good speeds but say for instance I want to upgrade my nokia firmware through the nokia software it takes forever, even when I right click to save a nzb from a site I only get 8kb/s. Is there anyway I can change something or change certain ports to make the speed the same as downloading from news servers?

P.S Thanks also for DC for the awesome speeds we have been getting.

IS it just with trying to download the firmware that the speed is so low? Can you maybe try downloading something else without using a download manager?

Nevermind, it worked fine this morning, was running at full speed. Guess it was just yesterday but thanks anyway.

I think we can blame Seacom and not DC for once. I've noticed that DC is infact shaping at the moment in order to save bandwidth (could be wrong) so that every gets a slice of the pie.

Yesterday when DC came back up I got full line speed on everything but now since around 08:45am all my p2p downloads are barely going. I could just be unlucky but I got a feeling I'm not the only one here having this.

Oh and has anyone noticed we're back on the 41.66.xx.xx IP adresses? Happened after the DC downtime yesterday
 
What are you guys paying at the moment? The price seems to fluctuate on the invoices. Originally the discount was 20% but then a few month ago i was informed it had been reduced, and now the silence makes me wonder what the actual price is.

Not that i care though, digichilli speeds are fantastic. Last week i found it streamed video faster than my webafrica account.

I'm on the mild btw.
 
Also, what is up with speedtest showing digichilli as "digichilli phase 1".

Quite an exciting development. It gets makes me wonder what phase 2 will bring.

Dave... It's time to break your vow of silence. Does digichilli have a future and when can we expect you to be more aggressive in terms of your branding and marketing? The technical mistakes made during the initial launch are well and truly in the past. I find it frustrating that such a good offering doesn't get more exposure.

Some of us were given the old 196.xx.xx.xx IP addresses remember :p I still think these 41.66.xx.xx IP's are faster. Well in any case DC is still rocking even with the whole Seacom cable break :D
 
So sad my P2P downloads seem to be slowly dying. Oh well at least I can't complain, I've had pretty good month so far even with the whole Seacom thing. DC is the best plain and simlpe ;)

Yip had it since 5am and still getting it. Not to worry though because I'm positive DC is switching back to Full Seacom bandwidth mode.

I hope it doesn't take too long but I can wait :)
