I connected for the first time this month 30 minutes ago and was surprised I was getting around 28-36KB/s, but it didn't last long because my connection is practically dead now only getting 0-2KB/s.

OK guys just spoke to Temba he says they doing maintanance and the system should be on in a hour or 2 ...hmm well lets just hope it goes quick as a bat out of hell because i still have some work to do remotely.

EDIT : THINk it might be a telkom problem again because even the wireless is going on the blink again

It's always very fast just after the network goes online. It will get populated fairly soon.

I havent posted in this thread for quite some time, so i just thought i'd say speed have been fairly good lately. Sure i always enjoy the improvement when they come, but all things considered i've been enjoying the last week or so. During the day astraweb goes at a pretty consistent 20-25K which is not amazing but fairly good, and during the night it bursts to a consistent 32K-38K. Youtube and the like average around 25K. I would say the "static browsing experience" is mostly on par with my afrihost account (384kbps).

I'm still hoping for more improvements, but things are clearly moving forward.

Hmm am I seeing slight improvements again? Why yes I am! This is up from 13kB/s - 17kB/s Okay maybe I'm getting ahead of myself but it looks promising

My connected was dead for about 35-40 minutes, back on now and my speeds are at max 34KB/s and averaging at 32KB/s and lowest at 17.7KB/s. This is good seeing as I was about to moan lol.... Hope it stays like this, and would love it if it there are more improvements.

Astraweb is currently flying at 40K. I hope they don't turn it off because i would be lost S06 without it.

Okay so speeds are FINALLY above 20kBs and sitting at 27kBs for now...........though that isn't quite where it needs to be (32kBs) and I'm not about to expect this to last until it.......well.....actually does.

I seem to have bursting back.. getting 40 - 50K download from astraweb, on 256k package. 4mb line.
Wish it can stay this way!!
