I know.. but this almost a week , with almost no working internet from DC. I'm not trying to be negative.. but seriously... I payed R250 for downloading/browsing.

So far I got 1 gig downloaded in the week. Nice! Edit: I have used my IS account more in this week than I did use DC.

I could have spend R250 on other accounts (ISP)... I want my moneys (sp?) worth.

Edit: And I bought an NNTP account (when DC emailed me my details) .. so you can see my frustration. I spend quite a few rands.. and so far... it's a waste.

I agree. WebAfrica spent a heck of a lot of money on their trial (yeah, sure they had the money to spend)... they had a lot of issues on their trial, but at least we didn't have to pay for it.

I want to believe in DigiChilli, but not at my own expense.

Yeah it sucks. I'm glad i'm still on a trial account. Maybe digichilli will do something to make up for it. Maybe a discount for next month or something.

On a positive not, i'm sure it will get stable enough before the end of the month to get your monies worth.

EXACTLY what I was thinking. I was on WA test account. And that is why I won't cancel my WA account.

This is becoming an expensive testing excersice on my part. I don't like throwing money down the drain.
 
Things are slow on my sie too, but DigiChilli will come thru...I just know it. The network is but 2 weeks old, give them a chance.

Turns out if you PPPOE it works fine - going through a router as normal doesn't work at all for me.

I REALLY hope so. But I'm doing a "pre-emptive" strike :).

R250 = 25Gig from Axxess for local only. I must get at least 25Gig to "balance" out. So time is running out.

Edit: I do support DC. Don't get me wrong.

The upside to this whole thing is the very cheap bandwidth waiting on the other side.
 
I havent posted in the DigiChilli threads in a while, but been reading up the whole time. It does seem that they are having quite some difficulties, but they still have my support. Good to see some of you people are supporting too. :)
 
Hi Guys,

We're having a huge telkom authentication and timeout problem. If you dial the PPPoE session from your PC it corrects this for most people.

Sounds like DNS issues? When I experienced the same, I changed my router's auto DNS to google's DNS servers. 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4

@praeses: No matter what DNS I used - google, opendns, my own at work :eek: it made no difference. The problem was bizarre.

NSlookup worked fine, ping worked fine and all google services worked fine. Everything else was a no go.
 
the only thing that actually works for me right now is local ftp transfers.getting full speed.

Dave... have you considered that Hellskommel may just be doing everything they can to screw you over? :D

I mean really, who would put it past them?
 
Just wanted to say thanks Digichilli, been using the account for a few days and its been awesome (touch wood) :)
Ive had very good speeds with HTTP, but been struggling with FTP.

Keep up the good work.
