I have this urge to kick a Cisco boy for good measure.. they make my life hell on a daily basis.

DC, please let the torrents flow...
thats why i got the account but now i can only browse...torrents not worth the effort.

i'm using Afrihost for downloads...getting very nice speeds of close to 50kb/s on my 384 line..couldn't believe it!

come on DC, you can do it!

Dude, when I was looking at DC I saw the service is prioritized for business protocols. i.e. torrent as very very rare in business. personally i dont want to see this fail due to guys wanting to rape the torrents etc.

i understand that this is a managed service but still decent torrent speeds during and after hrs, especially are not asking too much, otherwise why get an uncapped service ?
 
That is ultimately PART of the problem william_riker...

You're still thinking in the bandwidth starved manner Telscum have gotten us into.

I don't care if my torrents take ages to come down, I'm not worried that i'll run out of bandwidfth

its good not too be worried about caps..
i just hope that Dave and the good ppl at DC get better at this ISP thing..
i'm still hoping for better speeds once they get sorted..
when i saw my 2kb/s speeds i have bad flashbacks of my dial-up days..

and yeah 2kb/s was a scary sight for me as well....

But I think I'm averaging out at about 35kb/s which is perfectly fine for me.

do u have a 384 line or higher on DC ?

Recently I've only been getting that on torrents if there's a local peer. There's a guy in iBurst that must be hating me by now. Though I know he's got similar tastes to mine.

At 5kB/s you would be downloading 421.875 MB / day. This translates to roughly 12.4 GB/month, so I hope the averages will be higher than that, at least. But I guess we will have to wait and see. More important for me will be responsiveness in games and similar.
 
International download real fast, NOT. When will that be fixed? And when will XBOX Live work? :cry:
 
Still painfully slow...

ugh.

HOWEVER... i have found a way to go @ 50kbps...

which is what i am doing right now, but only if the file is 100% complete. i.e. not a 20 piece rapidshare file.


torrents PLEASE speed up... asseblief.
