very, very dissapointing.

I really had my hopes high with this one, especially after Makhulu's promising posts yesterday. Just woke up to attend to an issue at work, tested my DC account. International is as dead as it was before.

I think this is the last straw.......Trying hard to be patient.....

torrents do not connect at all. Browsing - zip. Can't even get onto the google page.

http - nothing.
 
yea torrents are slow, with afrihost i was getting 40KB/s and now digi chilli im getting 5KB/s... i wonder what the problem is??
 
No idea. Cisco router was giving problems apparently.

They said hardware would be installed this weekend as well and we could expect a different DigiChilli on Monday.

Screamer is offering me a test account, after turning me down because they did not have enough bandwidth and we're doing upgrades. If all goes well, bye bye DigiChilli.

My other option is SAOL for R499 pm which i have read is fantastic service / speeds / everything.

+1 I was hoping DC would be my answer to keeping my line and a good service however all these difficulties are causing me to re-examine my situation.

i think DC is doing an outstanding job. they had a couple of issues but nothing like screamer did. THey are working on all of them and will be resolved soon. I am completly happy with their product. One cant expect lightning for the price they are asking, so be patient, things will get 100%
 
absk300, i agree with you, to a certain extent.

The only issue i have at this moment in time is the money coming off my account but the service is not there. At all.

They we're quick to take my money but not so quick to tell me that their network isn't exactly 100% yet.

Screamer on the other hand refused to give me an account because they did not have enough bandwidth to allocate to their clients. Which makes perfect sense to me and i am not at all unhappy that they turned me down rather than gave me an account that never works.

So did the reboot happen? My speeds are still WAY below what I expect - upload seems to be rocking but downloads hardly make it to 10kB/s.

Steam is now connecting but downloading peaked at 3kB/s - that's not a peak. That's a valley! :erm:

International torrents are around 2-5kB/s - again not happiness.

My Inbound average from 18/12 20:06 to 19/06 06:06 was 6.62kB/s and outbound for same period was 42.85.

Any comments from DC?
 
Hi All,

Long night. There is still an issue with the shaper. Some related to Cisco and some to the QoS on the shaper. So, as it stands we've not implemented it as yet. I'm awaiting feedback from the engineers.
