Thanks Grand Past Master - I'll give Dave until Wednesday morning - perhaps he is busy. I'll then email chantel. Appreciate the additional lead.
 
I received a response from Chantel this afternoon - nice and quick. She needed specific reasons as to why I want to cancel and get a refund. i think that was enough to explain to her.

*nod* I explained it in my first e-maill. E-mailed 'em last night (to the Chantel address) asking for an update. Sooo... guess we'll see.

I like to think that the inability to get through to support, an internet service that can't do what I want/need it to do and the general being-taken-for-a-ride feeling are good enough reasons :p

I suspect I'm starting to take this too personally though and I'm really just looking forward to this being over with. I'm at the point where either deny my request for a refund, or refund me, but I would just like to put as much distance between DigiChilli and myself as possible.
 
I agree - if they dont give me a refund, I will not argue and fight for R240. I will just stay away going forward - no matter what good offers they have. Its a matter of principal and not the money.

At the end of it all, it is January after all and the money will come in handy.
 
You guys need to join SAOL very quickly for the R499 Uncapped service because the offer ENDS FRIDAY 15th JAN 2010 .


I joined them just in time and their service is excellent.
 
I made the move on Monday - no regrets yet. The connection has been great. Staff service levels much the same........
 
I just received an email from DC saying they will refund me the money.

I am glad that they honoured their promise to give refunds where people are not satisfied.

well dc just changed there package descriptions from "minimum garunteed speeds of" to "up to speeds of" .......
 
Just received an email from DC with the proof of payment for the refund. I'm very please to see they honoured their commitment to refund unhappy clients.
