Diginet

That's nice for local, whats your international? ;)

Plus I think this is running on Fibre, haven't seen synchronous speeds on diginet before :)

Keep in mind it's live now (several people playing with new toy as I do this).

And no, It's Diginet, not fibre.

How much are you paying for that???

I can get double your speeds in a wireless link (local loop). and same speeds on International testings.

You clearly do NOT understand Diginet...

I CLEARLY understand. I have another system running diginet (p2p local loop). And the advantage of Diginet is the symetrical speeds.

What I wanted to know is how much is AstroTurf is getting billed to get 2mpbs symetrical using copper.

Neotel and other ISP has great microwaves/wireless with symetrical speeds. They get a little longer ping, but I rather stay away from "hellkom".

The other option (only other option that works in this area mind you) is our 4Meg line that sucks, as in drops about 60 times a day, never goes past 2Mbps, always hassles with telkom when it dies, no stability at all and completely unreliable.
We are doing some things on the cloud now, this will pay itself off within the first 10 days :)

Or an 8 month wait and double the monthly cost for a similar fibre line.

With our current stability and having to fall back on vodacom on a weekly basis this is about half of what we have been paying.
Data usage at the moment is between 400 to 600GB per month and that should be a bit more, so low because the line crashes constantly.

The web dies, we lose around R800 to R2000 per hour...
