Digital line in laptop modem = dead modem?

Hi

I was testing dial up connection details for a manager, and without thinking, I plugged in the digital phone line from our office PABX system. Now the modem on my laptop doesn't pick up a dial tone on a normal analogue line, but it is still detected fine in device manager.

So, is the problem temporary?

Restart ? I have done the same thing with digital and analog phones on the wrong lines but they never died from it.

Try this

Device Manager; Modem Properties;Modem Tab , Untick wait for dail tone before dialing,

My modem in my Laptop wont pick up the tone unless i untick it.

You could also try using the Hayes AT command set.

AT*NCnn 27

Might just allow it to recognise dial tones from SA.
