I have purchased a Hisense 49B6000 TV, I think, based on the website, it has a digital tuner. I Iave not linked the TV to anything other than the internet and my sound bar.

My question is what do I have to attach to the TV to be able to scan for digital channels or how do I scan for digital channels.

i have got a DSTV decoder, but DSTV is not active Soni have not attached the decoder to the TV either.

Thanx

1. Do you have an antenna?
2. Is you antenna able to get digital signal?
3. Is digital signal available where you live?
4. Have you paid your TV licence? When you start scanning it will ask for your TV licence number. Your tv will not tune into digital signal unless you enter a valid TV licence number.

I think the first point is the problem, no I don't have an antenna, that is what is was asking, what do I need to get digital TV.

So I will need a digital antenna a d the service available in my area? That is what I understand from your reply.

Normal analogue antenna is fine. You can even use bunnyears, a bit dodgy but may work.

Exactly why do you want those kak channels can you can watch Netflix, Prime Video, etc?

It's the reason you bought a Smart TV, isn't?

The antenna and coverage is important, but the TV licence is just as important. Without it, when you scan, the channels won't show.

Once you click on Auto Channel Scan it will ask for your TV licence number. It is up there in the top right corner.
