Jokes on them,I use my Big toeForget about security, criminals will still chop off your finger. Get a dumb phone that can only do sms and make calls that you carry with you, perhaps with builtin watseaap. Even saves you from getting a dual sim.

Buy em and shut em down.Monkeyapp, das racist.
Whatsapp.Built in what?
It can't do internet banking, that's the point and they know it. I walk around with my Nokia N8 waving it around and nobody has ever tried anything because they know it's not a functional smartphone. Criminals aren't that dumb. And they'll just make you log into internet banking and then clear it out anyway.
Makes all the sense in the world to inconvenience yourself like that daily...for what is likely to never ever happen.
What if they bring their own?Whatsapp.

Again there is no internet banking. If you have a smartphone they know the apps are there and where they have to look. The only thing they're going to get is their own apps then. What if they bring their own?
So your bank doesn't have a website and its impossible that they may have a browser on a device of their own? But as has been pointed out - if you're going to inconvenience yourself that much, why? If they have the device without you then in most cases it's useless...Again there is no internet banking. If you have a smartphone they know the apps are there and where they have to look. Or just get a smartwatch. When I was held up with a knife they couldn't take anything because I just had my watch and keys on me.Forget about security, criminals will still chop off your finger. How do you know I have a bank account? What bank is it with? How many accounts do I have? Do you dress up like a homeless person too? Prepared to die for your bank details? If someone targets you, they target you.How do you know I have a bank account? What bank is it with? How many accounts do I have? How many people know the password?
You're being absurd. You won't be targeted and then only have R10 after 2 hours. They move on to the next guy with the bigass smartphone in his pocket. It's about risk, ease vs reward.Do you dress up like a homeless person too? Prepared to die for your bank details? If someone targets you, they target you.
Sure guy. An ex-colleague of mine was abducted on a weekday morning outside a large shopping centre in Pretoria years ago. He spent some time with them (weeks) including many trips to ATMs, online banking and even a trip to a bank branch. But you keep on thinking your Nokia is a sure way of not attracting attention. If you think you're being profiled by what phone you have you're not thinking clearly. You're being absurd. You won't be targeted and then only have R10 after 2 hours. And how did they know which ATM and bank branch to go to? Also would not work without his card. You're thinking criminals go "oh there's the guy with a stupid useless phone, let's take him and hope we can figure out which bank he's using. Then we give him our device and internet to make it easier to trace. And oh, we hope he knows his password from his head. We might get R100 from that. There's a guy with a big phone that's sure to do all these things once he just enters his pin or we stick his face in front of it. We don't need him after that and everything is traced to him and he's sure to earn a nice salary but it's too risky and hard to do so let's go for the first guy."Sure guy. See previous. And you think they can't put a tablet or laptop in front of you and make the magic happen?
Yeah, the logic of using a dumb phone is idiotic.
