A gun is a gun, none of your logic applies when you are facing down one of those.

And the reality is that happening is still so few and far between what you are proposing is simply outrageous as a counter measure.

And the reality is that criminals want sure scenarios they can quickly get in and out of. They don't want to take unnecessary chances and they don't like unknown scenarios. What you are describing is so rare and unlikely chances are there are more lotto winners so why consider it?
