I recently bought a bunch of these to try out at home:

I was not expecting much given the price, but I've been helluva impressed thus far. To my eye (and my wife's eye), they were as bright as the 15W CFLs that they replaced, and the colour temp is pleasing.
However, as with most E27 LED bulbs, they are not dimmable, and I unfortunately have two rooms on a dimmer (which I'd like to keep). Makro sells these which are apparently dimmable:

Any idea whether it is as simple as replacing the existing incandescent bulbs with these? I'm reading things about requiring a special LED dimmer switch, and/or needing to calculate the total load etc.
