Hi is this service available on one of the VODACOM network(s) yet?

In general you can't connect directly between two nodes on the 3G network as incoming ports are blocked for security reasons. All outgoing connections are allowed and no port shaping is applied.

For P2P, this means that you must make use of supernodes or use your own APN if you want direct connectivity. If you need more info on getting your own APN, you need to talk to the Corporate Sales guys or PM me your e-mail addr. and I'll pass it on.

Ok I think theres an info mismatch here............
Direct connect is the process whereby VC come in take all your lcr routers out replace those banks with a 2mb microwv link to the nearest tower and thus bypass having over 30 lcrs to route cell calls.this is aimed at allowing data aswell ie the corp APN route........the purpouse as the name suggests is that it give your company a direct link into the vodacom net to route accordingly......................v3g??? yes ??
