Direct relation between load-shedding and mining production

Interesting way of saying it though.

I remember right in the beginning an economist saying that if they shut off one of the smelters the problem would go away.... which did not go down well.

The mining industry would have suffered but look how the rest of the economy has stalled with no power.
 
Some mines, without mentioning a name. spent billions on Solar power generation, only to find it is scarcely enough electricity to bring lifts up or down, and not even helping with mining activities. But they have been warned that solar is not a replacement or even an option in the industry.
