DirectX 10 on XP

Hi all

Don't know if this issue has been closed/resolved but does anyone have more info on DirectX 10 on XP ? AFAIK it's not officially supported but there are hax out there that can get it sorta working.

I really don't feel like Vista yet but it seems M$ is gonna gain alot of vista users just because of DX10.

To my knowledge, this is never going to happen.

Besides, the difference between DX9 and 10 is so small, don't worry too much about it.

The way Vista and Direct X 10 is designed I doubt it can even be back ported to XP. Eventually if you want Direct X 10 then you will need Vista

The only way to get it running is through emulators. With dx10 on vista you already take a performance hit so if you get it to run on xp through emulators it will be even worse.

It's sad that big game companies aren't supporting OpenGL just because their in cahoots with the big M$.
