DirectX10

the software and hardware section has that topic and the gamers section, have you tried goin in there sometime..is aalot of info there.

Not sure what to think actually...in my opinion, its just another "thing" that forces people to HAVE to upgrade their graphics card AGAIN... :D

Since only a few of the Nvidia 8 Series cards support DX10, unless you own one...its pointless to install it.

True. Only Vista can actually use it 100% correctly, seeing as it was targeted towards them.

Only played Crysis so far on Vista with 8800GTS. The first 5 minutes of the game somehow did not impress me :/ :( and man is it demanding for gfx that looked better with screenshots than gameplay. And the gun you get sounds like a peashooter DX10 aside.

So dats my only DX10 experience.

PC spec - 3Gig DDR400 ram, 4200+ 64bit X2 AMD, 8800GTS 320meg, VISTA 64bit. And the game lags like *****ty salt crackers. :(

Maybe I will have another look at it when I have any implication. Good thing I like Gears of War :) runs 10000% perfect :D no DX10 and I prefer the look and feel.

All the Nvidia 8 series card support DX10 (some like the 8500GT are just very very slow, even in DX9) and the 2 and 3 series cards from ATI support it too.

A fast DX10 card is very fast under DX9 too, so really no need to buy Vista. DX10/Vista only releases like Halo 2, now thats a problem...
